What is a Coach?
A Coach is a professionally trained thought partner who supports you as you embark on a journey of meaningful growth.
Coaches do not have the answers, but we create space and facilitate a process for you to discover and transform through exploration, awareness, and intentional action. A coach’s goal is to empower you to uncover your own insights and solutions, unlock your potential, and shed light on who you are capable of becoming.
Why ICF Certification Matters
Coaching is not a trend—it is a credentialed, evidence-based profession. Choosing an International Coaching Federation (ICF) certified coach ensures you work with a professional adhering to the highest global standards, ethics, and competencies.
The Gold Standard: The (ICF) is the premier global governing body for coaching, with over 60,000+ members in more than 166 countries.
Rigorous Training: Certified coaches complete 60+ hours of specialized education, have 100+ hours of practical experience, receive mentor coaching, pass a proctored exam& recorded performance evaluation.
Proven Client Impact: Individuals working with an ICF-aligned coach reported more than double the satisfaction rate compared to those working with non-certified coaches.
Coaching is NOT
To ensure clarity, it helps to understand how coaching differs from other professional relationships:
Therapy: Therapy focuses on healing, treating, or resolving past trauma. Coaching focuses on the present and future—you are not broken.
Consulting: Consultants provide expert answers and solve specific problems for you. In coaching, you are the focus, not the problem.
Teaching: Teaching focuses on transferring knowledge from instructor to student. In coaching, you are the expert on you.
Mentoring: Mentors give advice and guidance based on their own personal experience. In coaching, you are in the driver’s seat.

The Coaching Process
Coaching is grounded in the tenets of: Partnership, Presence, Trust, Exploration, Awareness, Choice, Integration and Transformation.
Step 1: The Free Intro Call
Each new coaching relationship starts with a free 30-minute Intro Call. Together we’ll discuss:
What brings you to coaching and goals you want to explore.
What I can offer as a coach and what to expect from the process.
Are we a good fit?
Any questions you have about coaching, my background, logistics or next steps.
Step 2: Foundation
In our first session or two, we focus on you. We will explore your values, habits around change, and big-picture achievements. We’ll establish rapport and define the overarching goals for our work together.
Step 3: Regular Sessions
In our ongoing sessions, we’ll focus on your chosen topic for that day as it relates to your broader goals. We explore challenges, unpack blind spots, and wrap up with clear action steps or reflections you commit to practicing between meetings.
Step 4: Reflection
Periodically, we check in to evaluate your progress, celebrate key insights, and adjust our approach as needed. When you reach your goals or complete our coaching agreement, we dedicate time to reflect on your journey, consolidate your learnings, and discuss what’s next.
